When you think of condominium living, you may often think of high-density, close-corridor living where convenience might be paid for with privacy as the currency of choice. Worry not, though, as we’re about to walk together through The Highlands, an idyllic condominium development located just off of Pearl Street near the highly desirable West End.

One of the great draws of condominium living is the convenience. For those who may not have a green thumb or the time and patience for landscaping maintenance, a condominium offers community amenities and provides owners the benefit and freedom of ownership without the additional responsibilities. It’s often paid for, however, by sacrificing private sightlines and elbow room in often high-density developments. At The Highlands, however, you’ll certainly have your space and privacy, which we’ll expand on.

Situated close to major northwest Tacoma retail and transit hubs, The Highlands places you smack dab in the middle of the best of what Tacoma has to offer. With the Ruston waterfront to the north, 6th Ave and all of its entertainment options to the south, the Tacoma Narrows Bridge to the west, and to the east, the University of Puget Sound, you’ll have staple Tacoma landmarks in all directions.

Upon your visit, you’ll first notice the vibrant scenery of the development’s campus, which exudes the classic evergreen quality of the Pacific Northwest in full. The N building in particular features rolling landscaping, a sizable lawn, ample parking for both you and your guests, and a community patio and bench for your outdoor socializing convenience.

As we enter, you’ll notice brightness in color choices, from the walls to the flooring. For a condominium with a floor plan under 1,000 SqFt, the usage of space is quite effective. You’ll see this extended into the primary bedroom additionally, once we arrive there.

Through the living room, step back outside to the covered patio area with an attached storage shed. As we mentioned, many condominiums forgo privacy for convenience, but that is far from the case here. Through the back, you’ll notice no straight-on shared sightlines with another unit, favoring instead a view of the trees that make up the border of the property. Also, you’ll find few to no lateral sightlines to the neighboring units. This remains true for all of the windows in the unit, meaning you’ll never be staring into someone’s living room.

The kitchen makes effective use of its small space, opting for a two-sided design style that hugs the walls. Featuring a surprisingly great total storage/cabinetry footprint, coil-style stove/oven, built in microwave, electrical panel, and a bifold door housing the water heater, this kitchen certainly makes the most of its allotment of square footage.

Venture down the hallway past the secondary bedroom and main bathroom to the primary bedroom, which clearly received the greater share of space allotment priority in this unit’s design. It’s comfortably spacious, and its direct access to the bathroom is rare among condominiums of its size. Most unique, however, is a roomy walk-in closet with enough room for you and your other half.

Between the efficiency in design, scenic development campus, privacy, location, and the numerous community amenities, this is a premier condominium opportunity for those interested in this style of living. We hope that, during your visit, you appreciate what this unit has to offer as we do, and we look forward to seeing you.
